TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT
The aim of this initiative is to help set up a harmonized national or even EU-wide animal welfare labelThis initiative seeks a broad use of the label by other brands and chains, beyond current members.
Any producer, retailer or food supplier interested in labelling their products within the framework of this scheme is welcome to do so. Interested stakeholders must commit to:
- Use the audit standards to assess the animal welfare level of their products;
- display information on the evaluated products regarding the animal welfare level, alongside the obtained score;
- fund the third-party audits required to assess the targeted product ranges;
- take part in meetings and monitoring committees.
